I have been sewing some.....see what you think.

I made this one for a friend of mine. Lilly actually liked it! I was rather surprised because she is not a big pants fan. Also it is something I made! Because as you know she has to be like everyone else and wear store bought clothes. Anyhow this 2 piece outfit turned out better than I had hoped. We took quick pics of it in the the house as it has been raining so much here the past 2 days. What do you think?

Lilly loves this outfit! She actually picked the fabric and helped me come up with exactly what she wanted it to look like. I love the pink on her too! There is also another skirt that is a bit different with like colors but different print. So we have 2 skirts that match our top. She has worn this to school a couple of times now so it was a hit. As you can see she is not much for modeling anymore, it is more of a hassle to her. But, I do what I can.

This is the dress Lilly wore for the wedding. It was simple and sweet.

I love the way this dress turned out! It is kind of a southern belle type dress. Full of ruffles with the little bit of romance. It was from a pattern I have used many times before, but this time it has a very distinctive look.

The Easter Blues

Lilly wanted a blue Easter dress. Yet most of the ones I looked for in the stores were all light blue. This child has become very picky and very specific about what she wants. So I was really hoping that I could find something she would like. Then I ran across this blue fabric with butterflies. The butterflies are very faint lt. blue but they are there. When I showed her this fabric she loved it and she actually knew what dress she wanted me to make. I got to go to the closet and she showed me and said I want the blue dress just like this one! I managed to whip it up in a day and a half. On Easter morning she was dying to put on her new blue dress. We even dressed it up more with a pink tu-tu skirt under it and it was perfect.

Lilly's Princess Tianna Dress

This dress was a request from Lilly. Ever since she saw the movie then saw Tianna at Disneyland she wanted something Tianna. So when she saw this fabric with her new favorite princess she went crazy! I let her pick out the pattern she wanted to use, and of course she picks one of her favorites. I would have liked to do something more extravagant but she wanted simple. So here it is! I love the colors in this dress so beautiful, and I never would have imagined that this green-blue looks so pretty on Lilly but it does. I want to try to make another Tianna dress but not with her pictures on it, maybe something more to what she wore in the movie. We will see.

Twinkie Time Again!

When we get together with the China sisters I love to make them matching outfits. So when we went to visit one in February I had to have a new Twinkie outfit. The fabric was so funky, fun and bright just like our two girls, so I knew I had to have it. But now what pattern to use? Then I came across this pattern. It has an Asian flare to it which I really liked. So here it is, all made up. I love it and the girls really loved it too! So much that they smiled so big for all the pictures!

This outfit has a tunic style top that overlaps in the front. It has a faux tie in the front and a zipper in the back for a very fitted look and feel. The pants are just elastic waisted and very comfy (per Lilly). I do believe I will be trying more variations of this pattern as I love the way it looks and fits Lilly.

The Princess Feliz Dress

I made this pattern at Christmas time for Lilly in black with snowmen and red and white stripes underneath. It turned out really different and really cute. So when I got an order from a friend for something full of ruffles and very girly and twirly I knew this pattern would be perfect. So Miss Emerson is the proud owner of this Princess Feliz dress. The fabric is so cute kind of like a happily ever after type theme to it. The colors are pinks and purples and so very feminine. I can't wait to see pictures of Emerson in this dress. Lilly said she wanted me to make her one just like it as this one she is modeling is not hers. But when I got ready to get fabric she decided that she wanted something else instead. :)

Valentine Fun!

I made up this skirt and shirt when I discovered that Lilly couldn't wear her outfit I made last year. It seems this child grew, go figure! Anyhow I needed something quick and easy and something she would wear. So first thing she says is a shirt and skirt, Momma! So that is what we did and it is so fabulous! Lilly loves it and so do I!
The skirt is two different Damask patterns. The black and white and then the fushia and white. The tee shirt has cuffed sleeves out of the same patterns one on each side. The heart is adorned with rhinestones for some sparkle. Simple and easy but packs a big punch.

I do have enough fabric for one more skirt. The shirt would have to be short sleeve as I have not been able to find any plain white tees with long sleeves. It is still cold here but heaven forbid you can't find long sleeves anywhere. Just let me know size of shirt and waist measurements. The set will be $27.00. First one to let me know will get the skirt made in her size.

I have more things waiting to be sewed up so be looking for new things. Thanks for looking.

Fall Outfit Preview

Pink peasant style top with tie,simple and easy. Lilly can wear this with her black knit pants or the cotton ones that match the black outfit. I think it's simplicity is what makes it cute.
A new pattern for me to try! Not so sure I will make to many with this pattern, although, Lilly loves the way it fits. So we will see. It is cute as a tunic style top with pants or jeans. I think next time I will make it long enough for a short dress to wear with tights. Lilly says this outfit makes her feel Chinese. The colors are so great on her too.

This is my favorite outfit to date!! I love the way this one turned out! I made another outfit for Zara similar to this. Lilly though wanted hers to be a little different, so here it is. Lilly has gotten tons of compliments on this. It is simple too, just a peasant style top with ruffles and some pants to match. The pink top I made coordinates with this fabric too so we have more than one outfit. The weight of this fabric also makes it idea for fall.I think with the versatility of this outfit Lilly will be able to wear this for quite some time.

Lilly picked this fabric out and I was stumped as to what to do with it. After some time of Lilly's insistence on having something made I asked her what pattern she would like to use. I let her look at the patterns I had and she decided on this one. It also was a first time pattern for me. Lilly loves this dress, me, not so much. But lately Lilly has very different taste and it changes almost daily. So I am just glad that she likes it and wants to wear it.

I think this will be good with some knit pants when winter comes. Also this would be so cute, if Lilly would wear some boots with it too. But, hey, I knew the time would come when she wouldn't want to wear what "I" wanted her to wear. And believe me that time has arrived with deafening loudness! So there may not be to many more things posted here....time will tell.

Well here are some things that I have made recently. Lilly really isn't crazy about anything but the funky skull girl shorts set. Probably because she picked out the fabric herself! Honestly I think it turned out pretty darn cute.

Cherries Jubilee patchwork jumper SZ 3\4 $40.00

Cherries themed patchwork dress. This can be worn like Lilly has it without a shirt as a sun dress. It could also be paired with a long/short sleeved shirt. This would also be really cute with tights/leggings for cooler weather too. Then as they grow it could be a swing top and maybe paired with jeans. I love the softness of this dress. It is so sweet and I put lots of little details in it with the rick rack, the eyelet and the other trims. I think that is what makes this dress so special.

Chinese Kids 2 piece halter/Capri pants set SZ 4/5 $25.00

This is the same fabric I used for the halter dresses for Lilly&Zara. I had just a little bit left and couldn't let this oh so cute fabric go to waste. So I played around and this is what I came up with! I love it! Of course my sweet daughter doesn't. So I am offering this up to anyone else who would like to steal this comfortable, cute outfit.

Pretty Skull Girls 2 piece shorts/halter set (any size you need between 3-8) $15.00

This is a very easy pattern. I think the simplicity of it all is what makes it work, especially with the fabric. The pink and black combo with the all over silver glitter is so cute. I wasn't sure about this fabric and what I was going to do with it when Lilly picked it out, but I love the results. The fabric washes great too I just wash and hang dry and not have to iron.

Lilly is not a fan of this outfit! It is not her style at all and she wasn't happy at all about having to model it! I did get her to put it on just so that people could see how it looks on a person. Things look really different on hangers VS people.

I used Michael Miller's Retro Cowgirl fabric mixed with some other bits and pieces of things I had around my sewing room. I think the final look is super cute.

This is a new pattern that has sizes 1-12! I love it! It is so versatile and you can do anything your heart desires with it! This is the 3rd one I have done with this particular pattern. I hope to post a few more when I have time for a photo shoot!

This jumper was a special request for my SIL. A very dear friend of hers, had both her son & daughter in law injured in two separate accidents. They are holding a charity event to help raise money for this couple. So I have donated this OOAK jumper to the silent auction. Let's hope this raises some money! I would be devastated if it didn't.

Roses are always feminine...

I found this beautiful blue fabric with these shabby chic type roses on it and knew that it would make a sweet and very feminine dress. The front is embellished with roses and ribbon and an old handkerchief I had. The simplicity of this dress just makes it shine. I made this dress for Lilly and her Ji'An sister Zara. It really turned out cute. Since I posted this on my blog there have been several of you interested in this dress. So I thought I would make a listing for it.

The dress is $30.00.It is a lined halter style straight dress. The back has elastic along the top part of the dress to form the skirt. I kept the pattern simple to showcase the beautiful fabric which features Chinese girls,pagodas and lots of flowers. The colors in this are pinks,reds,blues and some yellows and green. The background color is off white. I can make this in sizes 3-8.

These are thumbnails of two different fabrics that I have that you can choose from. Both come from Michael Miller fabrics. These are good quality fabrics and so the cost is more for them,thus the price. Please email me and let me know which of the two you prefer and a size. I may also ask for measurements to assure fit.

I love this fabric and it seems there are a lot of others who do to. I can't wait to make something for your favorite little girl.

Spring/Summer Designs 2009

These are some of the new outfits that I have done recently. The first is one of Lilly's favorites. She wanted Tinkerbell and the Fairies. When we saw this fabric back in November I wasn't sure what was going to be made out of it. Then it just came to me how I wanted it to look.

The peasant style blouse with the yellow sleeves picks up the yellows and golds in the fabric. Then I added these petal type things to the front to mock some of the fairy dresses. These were then top stitched with a vine stitch. The skirt is a full twirl skirt with the yellow on the bottom and purple flowers top stitched along the edge.

The next one is a classic black & white dress. I just love the halter style of this dress with the big sash too. The combination of the black & white just make it a crisp clean look. Funny when I begin something new, sometimes I know just exactly what I want. Then other times I just play till it looks good. This one I knew just what I wanted and it turned out so beautiful!

The 2 piece outfit has a cotton tee and skirt. The applique on the front is a big version of one of the prints in the skirt fabric. I took and added buttons and some rick rack to jazz it up a bit. The skirt is not as full as some but really is a good length. Lilly loves the colors in this and says it is really comfortable.

If your interested in any of these I can recreate them. I could even change up some of the fabrics if you want something a bit different. But I just wanted to share what I have made as of right now for Lilly's Spring/Summer wardrobe.

This super cute jumper has a wild side! It has hearts in animal prints and a little cha-cha-cha fringe on the bottom of it. I like it because you can change the shirt under it and change the look of it too. This type of jumper is great for everyday or dress it up for a special event...like Valentines Day!

Love Bugs Valentine Set 25.00

With Valentines Day around the corner I figured I would put together one outfit. I think this is sweet and simple. The purple fabric has ladybugs on it in pink and green. There are also little red hearts with the saying Bugs & Kisses as well as Luv Bug and Bug Hug. The top is a swing top that you can wear a long of short sleeve shirt under. The pants are the long length. The left leg of the pants has three embroidered hearts on it stacked up. The fabric of the hearts is the same purple with the ladybugs. Each heart sports its own red polka dot bow. The back (pockets) are hearts also with a red polka dot bow. The top buttons in the back and has bows on the straps for added color. I really think this could be worn past Valentines Day. Email me if you interested. It will take about a week to make up another one. I can do it in sizes 1-7.

These are two variations of the same outfit. I decided to post both here so that you could see the differences in them. I love the look of each of them.

Country Santa

Christmas is right around the corner! I was really hoping for more responses on my clothing. So the time has come for EBay again. I am going to be listing the blue candies outfit,the black,white&red snowman and a cute blue jumper with snowglobes on the bottom. There might also be a couple of other things too. Lilly is keeping the snowgirl one, that is what she wanted. Although I do have enough material to make a size 2 of that if anyone is interested.

Next year I will hopefully get some input from you as to what you would like to see as far as holiday things go. Maybe I am just completely off as to what the comsumer wants. So if you have feedback, I would love to hear it, anytime.

Glitter Candies

Not your same old Christmas fabric! This fabric has lots of little candies in pink, green & orange. There are some that are glittered up! I went with this and added an iridescent rick rack trim to the dress top as well as the individual layers. This is also found on the pants. I picked up the orange in the candies and used it for the trims. The straps are elastic and just pull over the head. I also added this cool little blue cuffs to the shirt. The cuffs are made of blue eyelash yarn. These aren't sewn to the shirt, so these could be worn with another outfit if you wanted. They also can be hand washed so no worries there. There is a long tie belt that you can use to tie in the front, back or the sides. The dress can also be worn without the belt. It just gives you more looks to go with. I love the way this came together. It is also one that will be something you can wear through the holidays with no problems.

This outfit comes with the jumper/dress and the pants and the blue cuffs.
This outfit is a big size 3. I believe I have enough to make another one of these in the size you need. Just contact me for information.

Snow Girl

I love the fabric for this outfit!!! It is made of cuddle fleece and super soft! Actually Lilly had a hard time keeping her hands off the dress, it reminded her so much of her blanket! Both the jumper and the pants are made out of this warm, cozy fleece. The snow girl face is appliqued on and then there are snowflake buttons for the eyes. The top features two large pink bows with white polka dots. The face is made with no pill fleece so it will not bleed. If you would like a carrot nose instead of the heart nose I can do that too. See the photo at the bottom it is similar but not identical to what I have made. So this outfit is also an option. Just let me know which you prefer. I can make small changes to your outfit if you have something in mind, let me know and I will see what I can do. This will definitely be a head turner. It will also be something your daughter can wear through the holidays and well after. It really turned out far better than I thought, but believe me the fabric is what makes this outfit so wonderful!!!

This is another option for the dress if you prefer. I got my idea from this original snowman dress. But I wanted something that was more mine. So I came up with the snow girl. But if you would like I can recreate this dress also. Please let me know what you want.

Candy Cane Snowman

This 2 piece is a cute jumper with pants for more wear. There are three different fabrics used. One is a red background with a snowman, the other is a red and white stripe and last is the black with white swiss dots. The straps are knotted through a button hole. These can be adjusted if needed. The front bib has a replica of the snowman. This is appliqued with some beads and holly for added detail. The red & white blocks sport a hand appliqued holly leaves as well as button berries. The pants are full length with the black/swiss dot fabric. The bottom of the pants have a cuff of the red & white stripes. The other blocks have black bows. I wanted to mix my stuff up a bit and so this is what I got.

I have enough to make another dress from 18 mo. up a size 5. The dress Lilly is modeling is a big size 3. If you want exact measurement please let me know and I will get these for you.

This set is 42.00 for the pants and the jumper.

Here Kitty,Kitty!

This is the outfit that I made for Lilly to wear while her China sister was here visiting. I made cowgirl outfits in May for the other sisters. This time I made pants and a blouse as well as the dress, just in case it was cold. I am posting this one....but I have my doubts about ever doing this again. OR should I say exactly like this one. My husband said it is way to bright and I went really overboard. I would like to know what you think? Be honest!

Notice the look on Lilly's face when I told her I was going to sell this outfit! She very reluctantly modeled for me. Little does she know that I have enough fabric to make another one, if someone is interested. So she doesn't have to give hers up! FYI yes it was hot enough here to wear this! That is why I make all my things layerable!

This is a cotton two piece set. It has all seams serged and top stitching where needed. It has 2 adjustable button holes in the back for more wear. You can wear this like Lilly has on or you can put a long/short tee-shirt under it. The pants are supposed to be Capri style, but they are a bit longer. I love the way this set turned out, and she got tons of compliments on it the past couple times she has worn it. If your interested in this set, please email with what size your interested in. I can make this in sizes 2-4 only. It will take at least a week to put together. So just let me know.

Well, I have sold everything that I had made up. I am not happy with what I got for most of the things. But, I am trying to stay positive and remember that Rome wasn't built in a day. I have had a lot of nice comments. Hopefully these customers will refer others when they see the quality/creativeness of my work. In the mean time I am going to keep learning from each transaction. Honestly it can only get better.

Halloween Patched Skirt Set! NEW!

This is the new Halloween set! I have been working feverishly trying to finish these. The skirts are pieced with various fabrics from solid colors to cute Halloween prints. Then I added ribbons and ruffles to add details to the blocks. To finish these off I added some cute Halloween jingle bells and some assorted buttons. I absolutely love these skirts. The tees I found at Target and they seemed to match perfect! This set gets the Lilly stamp of approval! She even asked me if she was going to get to keep it! lol

Each skirt is different! No two are exactly the same! They do have similar materials but all have different details to them! Double click images to enlarge.

I have 2 finished sets in a size 4 & 5. It is possible to make more skirts if you are needing another size. Please just contact me and let me know.

The material has been pre-washed for shrinkage. I recommend that you wash in cold water and line dry for less wrinkles! The two sets for sale have serged seams. This is something new I have started doing. It is all a learning curve for me. So I hope you enjoy the time and love put into these creations. Lilly's Momma

SWISS MISS 3 PIECE OUTFIT

This outfit has a dress/jumper a peasant style blouse and pants!It buttons in the back. The material is pink and white butterflies on chocolate brown. I also used a stitch on the sleeves of the blouse and the ruffle of the pants that is a squared flower that looks like a butterfly.

This dress can be worn with the pants or without. You could also put a short sleeved shirt with it instead of the long blouse. I love the way you can change the look of it. It is all cotton and has been pre-washed for shrinkage. I pre-wash all my fabrics for that reason.

This outfit was cut from a size 4 pattern. The jumper/dress measures 16 inches from bodice top to hemline. The pants inseam are 10 1/2 inches.The pants outer seam is 20 1/2 inches going from top of pants to the hemline. Waist elastic was cut to 20 inches. This will stretch some too. It fits comfortably on Lilly.

This dress has hand patched blocks of brown, blue and white. I would say this is a 4-5 dress. Measurements: Top of bodice to hemline is 22 inches. Bodice around is a full 27 inches. There are two buttonholes for adjusting the size.

There are yo-yo circles on the bodice with a button in the center for added detail to the dress.

This dress is versatile in you could add tee shirt, long sleeve shirt,leggings or paired with a pair of jeans for an older girl. I was really happy with the way it turned out. Please contact me with any questions.

One Of A Kind Christmas Jumper

This is one of the Christmas things I made for Lilly while waiting. Unfortunately she was never able to wear it. It is cotton hand patched with a chenille bodice. The red buttons form a tree. The squares have snowmen and poinsettias. This looks cute with a pair of tights and a red shirt under it. I believe this to be a size 18-24 months. The bodice to the hemline is 16 1/2 inches. Around the skirt is 23 inches. Buttons are on the inside of the bodice. I wash all my things in cold and hang dry, warm iron if necessary. It really is so cute.

Well for months now I have been asked by strangers where I got my daughter's clothes. When I tell them I made them for her they are shocked. The next question is do you sew for the public? So after 2yrs. of proding from my husband I am going to try to do this. Sew for you and your friends. Take a minute and check things out. Let me know what you think. My daughter Lilly is my total inspiration!

Lilly has a mind of her own. At the tender age of 2 knew what she liked and didn't like. Pants she proudly told me were for boys. So my sweetie refuses to wear, jeans, shorts, tee shirts and sneakers. Her clothing of choice? Dresses, of any shape, as long as they are colorful! So as you will see, she has clothing with COLOR. This is what she likes and I do too.
